CLV GRADING – TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. These Terms
1.1 What These Terms Cover
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the supply of authentication, grading, encapsulation (“slabbing”), reholder, crossover, and any related services provided by CLV Grading (“CLV”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
By using our services, you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, we cannot provide our services.
Our FAQs and website content are provided for guidance only and do not form part of these Terms.
1.2 Consumer vs Business Customers
You are a consumer if:

You are an individual; and

You are using our services for personal use, not for business purposes
If you are a business, these Terms represent the entire agreement between us.
2. Information About Us
CLV Grading is a UK-based trading card grading service.
We may contact you via the details you provide or via notices on our website.
3. Our Contract With You
A contract is formed when we confirm acceptance of your submission.
We reserve the right to refuse any submission at our discretion.
4. Our Services
We provide:

Encapsulation (“slabbing”)

Reholder and crossover services
4.1 Product Variations
Slabs, labels, and presentation may evolve over time. Images shown are illustrative only.
We cannot guarantee:

Absolute absence of dust or particles inside slabs

Exact visual replication across all slabs
5. AI and Automated Systems Disclaimer
CLV Grading may use artificial intelligence and automated systems across parts of our business, including:

Website content and communications
-
Customer support assistance
-
Data analysis and system optimisation

Internal grading support tools
These systems are used to improve efficiency and consistency. However, grading outcomes and key decisions may involve human oversight.
CLV does not guarantee that AI-assisted outputs are error-free.
6. Sponsored Content, Streamers and Third-Party Sales
CLV may work with affiliated streamers, sellers, and content creators who promote or sell our graded cards (“slabs”) via third-party platforms such as Whatnot.

Their content may be considered sponsored or affiliated

Sales may occur independently of CLV
CLV does not control:

Third-party platforms

Stream content
-
Pricing or conduct of affiliated sellers
Any purchases made via third-party platforms are subject to their own terms and policies.
Affiliated partners are not responsible for grading outcomes, disputes, or customer service. All enquiries must be directed to CLV.
7. Submissions and Responsibilities
You are responsible for:

Providing accurate submission information

Declaring accurate card values

Ensuring adequate insurance cover
We are not responsible for:

Damage prior to receipt

Damage during third-party transit
-
Loss exceeding declared value or insurance
You are strongly advised to document your cards (photo/video) before submission.
8. Turnaround and Delays
We aim to provide fast turnaround times but do not guarantee fixed completion dates.
We are not liable for delays caused by:

Postal or courier services
-
External disruptions
-
Operational factors outside our control
9. Delivery
Delivery is handled by third-party providers.
Once items are dispatched:

Risk transfers to you

Proof of delivery will be considered final
Missed deliveries or storage fees are your responsibility.
10. Pricing and Payment

Prices are shown on our website

Payment is typically due upon completion of grading services

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors
Late payments may incur interest.
We may retain possession of your cards (lien) until payment is received.
11. Changes to Services

Where significant changes occur, we may notify you via our website.
12. Cancellations and Refunds
You may cancel:

Within applicable legal cooling-off periods (where applicable)

Before services have materially begun
Refunds may be reduced based on work already completed.
Once grading or slabbing is completed, services are considered fulfilled.
13. Grading Disclaimer (Important)
Grading is an opinion-based assessment using our internal methodology (including the CLOVER Scale).
By submitting a card, you acknowledge:

Grades are subjective and may differ from other grading companies

Future regrades (including with CLV) may yield different results
-
Market value is not guaranteed or implied
CLV is not liable for differences in grading outcomes.
14. Reholder and Crossover Services
Previous grades or authentication from other companies are not considered binding.
CLV may:

Assign a lower or higher grade

Determine a card as inauthentic
Once processed, we are not obligated to reverse or regrade decisions.
15. Liability
15.1 Consumer Liability
Our liability is limited to:

The amount paid for the service

Any applicable declared value (if insured)
We are not liable for:

Market value changes
-
Indirect or consequential losses
15.2 Business Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:

We exclude liability for loss of profit or business

Liability is capped at the service value
16. Data Protection
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
17. General Terms

We may transfer our rights and obligations

You may not transfer your rights without consent

If part of these Terms is invalid, the rest remains enforceable
